The World Association for Infant Mental Health (WAIMH) is pleased to introduce the WAIMH Members’ Forum – a new online space designed to support professional exchange, reflection, and collaboration among members.

The forum offers an opportunity to engage with colleagues across disciplines and regions, and to share knowledge, experiences, and perspectives related to infant and early childhood mental health.

A space for professional exchange and connection

The forum is a space for WAIMH members to post, comment, discuss, learn, reflect, support, and connect with one another.

Through the forum, members can:

  • Engage in dialogue with an international network of professionals
  • Share research, resources, and practice-based insights
  • Reflect on emerging topics in the field
  • Connect across disciplines and professional contexts

Our goal is to foster meaningful collaboration and provide a platform for exchanging knowledge and ideas in a respectful and supportive environment.

Discussion areas

The forum is organized into several discussion areas, including:

  • Research & Evidence-Based Practice
  • Clinical Practice & Interventions
  • Policy, Advocacy & Systems
  • Community, Culture & Diversity
  • Education, Collaboration & Events

These categories are designed to support focused and meaningful discussions across key areas of work.

Access and getting started

Access to the discussion forum is available to WAIMH members at the following link: WAIMH Members’ Forum

For those who join, a short user guide is available to support getting started, including how to create posts, contribute to discussions, and navigate the platform.

Creating a respectful and supportive space

The forum is intended to be a constructive and professionally meaningful environment for exchange. To support this, participants are asked to:

  • Communicate respectfully and with openness to diverse perspectives
  • Keep discussions relevant to infant and early childhood mental health
  • Protect confidentiality and avoid sharing identifying information
  • Share resources thoughtfully and with appropriate attribution

All participants are required to review the full forum guidelines before engaging.

These guidelines are in place to help maintain a safe, respectful, and ethically grounded space for dialogue.

Part of a broader set of member resources

The forum is one of several resources available to WAIMH members, alongside reduced conference registration fees, a reduced subscription rate for the Infant Mental Health Journal: Infancy and Early Childhood, and member discounts on training content on the WAIMH History Archive.
